Has anyone ever taken out a personal loan with Capitol One?

I have two credit cards that I owe 1600.00 on each. I was thinking about taking out a personal loan with Capitol One to pay off the cards and have one balance. How was your experience with them. Instead of the loan, should I just make monthly payments until both balances are paid off? I’m confused.
