unsecured personal loans for poor credit?
amhjp1820 asked:
I have a 530 credit score after my divorce. I have 2 small credit cards and a new car loan since and all have been paid for ON TIME for at least a year . I have paid off most of my past debts ( about 1,000 in debts left to pay) yet no one will even think of doing a small personal loan ( to help me rebuild) for 1000. Any suggestions

If you had a 530, and have been paying on time for at least a year, your score will likely be closer to 600.
Although it will be expensive as far as interest, there are a couple of nationally known finance companies that may entertain you as long as you’re paying off your past debts with the loan. Call and ask them and they should be able to tell you whether they do high risk loans. Explain your situation but don’t provide any personal info (SS number, etc) until they suggest they might be able to help.
Important things to consider:
-Do not apply at more than 3 companies, and complete all the applications within 2 weeks. Most finance companies will consider this “shopping” and as a single credit report transaction.
-The loan MUST be used to pay off your existing debt. The finance companies are still going to be pretty nervous about adding to your debt load, so don’t go in there assuming that you can get more cash.
-Do a simple check to make sure that you can handle the extra debt…
1) add all your monthly bills together except your rent or mortgage. Also, do not add in the debt you plan to pay off;
2) the total of your bills should not exceed 30% of your total income before taxes… so, if you have a gross income of $1000.00 per month your bills should not total more than $300.00 per month before you pay your rent.

Try CashCall.com. I don’t know what their credit qualifications are. But I had a bankruptcy last year, and have had new accounts since then (car loan,credit cards) and have paid them all on time. My bankruptcy was just a year old when I applied with them. I was approved for their $5075 loan, and the money was wired into my account the next day….Good Luck!

i have had the same problem. I found two companys that help with this situation. Either HFC or Beneficial. You can apply and check these companies out online. I have even filed Bankruptcy recently and still got approved. My credit score is 525. Hopes that this helps. I learned the hard way. the best thing to do is don’t give up.
